The Olde Fish House Marina 4530 Pine Island Rd in Matlacha invites you to their last concert of the summer featuring some of the best local talent from Pine Island and Matlacha. Kip Lawrence will headline a cast including Sarah Mahan, Butch Gay, Brad Rodgers and Michael Mahan. This is a free concert, lawn chairs and coolers are allowed and actually encouraged. The Olde Fish House will be serving their award winning fresh seafood and you will be serenaded under the starry skies of beautiful, downtown Matlacha.
Saturday June 14 6-10 p.m.

Kip will team up with legendary guitar picker Pat McCune and his brother Tommy on upright bass for a concert featuring fancy picking, uptempo bluegrass/folk and lots of fun. Pat has performed with Doc Watson, Jorma Kaukonen and John Prine to name a few. Lawn chairs and coolers are allowed and Olde Fish House will be serving the freshest seafood to be found. Charlie has released his first solo cd, "Living My Dream" and his cd release party will be at The Hog Fish Waterfront Grill 3135 Stringfellow Rd. St. James City (283-5300) on Monday February 18 at 6 p.m. Charlie's cd title is very fitting in that he moved to "paradise" from Milwaukee, helped to make The Yard Dogs the superstars which they are and, now, produced his own cd. Come out and celebrate Charlie's joy with his friends and some awesome seafood provided by The Hog Fish's bountiful kitchen.

Our Cd release party for our 5th Cd "Living In Matlacha will be at Woody's Waterside (formerly The Double Nichol) on Saturday, January 19 at 4 PM. The Address is 3051 Stringfellow Rd. in St. James City (239)283-5555. We invite you to come on out to Pine Island (there are many motels in St. James City) and party the night away with us.

Charlie will do another solo show at the Hogfish Waterfront Grill in St. James City on Monday Dec. 17 from 6pm-9pm.
He will be back every Monday starting on Jan. 14.

Charlie Kuchler will debut his solo show at the Hog Fish Waterfront Grill in St. James City on Monday, Nov. 12 from 6pm-9pm.
This will only be a once in a while thing so come on out and party at this great Pine Island restaurant and bar.

The Yard Dogs will help kick off stone crab season with their first Thursday show at Pincher's Crab Shack in North Fort Myers.
Show times are 6pm-9pm.
The band will continue at Pincher's every Thursday after this huge event.

The Yard Dogs return to The Schooner Wharf Bar in Key West on Sept. 28 and 29 for a roudy weekend of fun in Florida's most laid back town.
Hours are 7pm- midnight so there's plenty of time to see the sights in our southern most city.

Five Years and Counting

It was 5 years ago in September of 2002 that Charlie, Kip and Brian met by chance at an open stage jam session at Bert's Bar in Matlacha, FL. For some reason there was a chemistry that kept growing and before long The Yard Dogs was born.

The mixture of Cajun/zydeco, bluegrass, folk, country that The Yard dogs created is now called Florida Swamp Music. Their creativity soon came to the surface and their song list now consists of mostly original songs. By keeping a close personal connection with their fans, the band has built a huge following from Key West to Milwaukee.

Their 5th CD is being recorded in September of 2007 and will be all original songs.

The band will celebrate their 5th Year Anniversary with a fan appreciation party on Sept. 15 at Pincher's Crab Shack in North Fort Myers, Fl from 3pm-6pm.

The Yard Dogs will return home to Florida on August 19 with a show at Pincher's Tiki Bar at the Holiday Inn on the beach. Come on out and celebrate our return from the chilly Midwest. 5pm-8pm.

On July 3rd The Yard Dogs will be at Pinchers at the Holiday Inn on the Beach from 6pm-9pm. This will be a great chance to start your Independence Day festivities. This tiki bar is laid back and offers food, full liquor, and a great view of the Gulf of Mexico and sunset.
Then on July 4th The Yard Dogs will host a barbeque on the deck at Bert's Bar in Matlacha from 2pm-5:30pm. This will be a great warm up for your 4th of July and leaves plenty of time to see the fireworks!!

On Saturday June 16th The Yard Dogs will be at the Light House Hotel Tiki Bar on Ft. Myers beach from 3pm-7pm. This is our first time there so come on out and check it out.
This is a very cool place. It's an authentic hand made Tiki Bar with full liquor and food. The staff is friendly and the vibe is laid back.

The Yard Dogs are finally going to get a chance to play in Naples on May 19. Pelican Larry's is a great place on Immokalee Road. They have full liquor and excellent food. Check the schedule page for details.

We will be performing every Monday in March at Bonita Bills 704 Fishermans Wharf Fort Myers Beach (under the Matanzas Bridge..it's on the land side almost directly under the bridge to Fort Myers Beach) It'll be Mardi Gras Mondays with The Yard Dogs!!! If you havent been to Bonita Bills, it's a waterfront, laid back, old Florida style bar. A perfect place to see us! 5-9 p.m.

On Feb. 24th The Yard Dogs will be featured at the kick-off show for spring training for the Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, and Ft. Myers Miracle. It goes from 4pm-9pm and will take place at the Lee County Sports Complex. The Yard Dogs go on at 7pm. Admission is $5.00. Children under 12 are free.

We will be performing at a special time on Wednesday February 15 from 2-5 p.m. at Berts Bar And Grill in Matlacha. Come on out and celebrate Valentines Day with your honey and get a free piece of cheesecake. You'll hear a selection of "relationship songs"....ok...you may even hear a couple of love songs. It will be happening (weather permitting) on the deck of Berts Bar on scenic Matlacha Pass.

On Jan. 26th join The Yard Dogs and Fox 4 Rising for a televised concert to benefit The Animal Refuge Center in N. Ft. Myers from 7:00am-10:00am at the Twisted Conch. 837 SE 47th Terrace in Cape Coral. 239-542-6622.
Free breakfast with a donation of canned dog/cat food( no dry please), dog/cat treats, laundry soap, dish soap, and linens. Drink Specials are Boody Marys and Salty Dogs.

For the rest of the season The Yard Dogs will play 2 shows on Wednesday nights. One show at 6:30pm and one at 8:30pm.

The Yard Dogs 2nd Annual "Feed The Holiday Hungry" food drive will be held at Pinchers Crab Shack 13021 N. Cleveland Ave in North Fort Myers on Sunday December 10 from 3-6 PM. Help us stock the shelves of the Fort Myers Food Pantry with essential holiday foods for the Christmas Feast.
